Chiropractor

Career
Gemma graduated from McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) Chiropractic. In 2008 Gemma completed a post graduate course in Animal Chiropractic with the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic.

Specialisms
Gemma enjoys treating people of all ages, with a particular interest in sports individuals, as she previously trained as a Personal Trainer. Gemma has a keen interest in shoulder injuries and has attended many CPD courses on the subject, including Neuromuscular Re-education Technique, which is a particularly useful treatment for frozen shoulder and rotator cuff tendinopathy. She is passionate about nutrition and healthy living, and in particular helping menopausal women to find a natural way to support them through the changes that occur at this time of life.

Obviously Gemma also loves treating animals and whilst horses and dogs are her most frequent clients, she has treated cats, cows and a couple of chickens!

Interests
Outside of work, most of her time is spent with her own two horses. Gemma enjoys riding on the beautiful Cannock Chase and competing in dressage. Gemma also has two dogs who help to keep her fit. Whenever she gets the opportunity, Gemma loves to head to the lakes, with her partner Alex, for some hillwalking.

Registrations
Gemma is a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association (MCA), the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA) and the British Veterinary Chiropractic Association (BVCA).
